Luxury Tour of Scotland
Day 1 – Arrive in Edinburgh
Morning arrival at Edinburgh airport, private transfer to a 4 or 5 star hotel in the centre of Edinburgh with spectacular views towards Edinburgh Castle.
The rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2 – Explore Edinburgh Day
Full day tour of Edinburgh to include all the major tourist attractions in the city with a private guide and services of a chauffeur and Mercedes car.
Private whisky tasting in the hotel – a 2 hour tasting session with a highly knowledgeable and entertaining whisky connoisseur who will talk guests through the history and the process of making whisky and offer a tasting of 3 whiskies.
Day 3 – Shopping Day/Free Day
Edinburgh has beautiful boutiques, designer shops and department stores. We can make arrangements for private shopping experience at Harvey Nichols for example, a department store offering luxury designer goods.
Transfer to Perthshire
Later in the afternoon, guests begin the drive by private vehicle to Kinnaird a 5 star country house hotel set in stunning rural Perthshire over looking the River Tay. Three nights will be spent here.
Day 4 – Fishing Day
Exclusive fishing day with our fishing partner where guests will fish for brown trout on one of Scotland’s most exclusive lochs. This is rarely fished by the public and is close to the hotel.
The day will be exclusive and guests will have the full attention of a highly skilled fishing enthusiast, a ghillie and full catering all day including picnic lunch, whisky, tea/coffee etc. Stunning personalised photographs of the day will also be presented on a CD-ROM to each guest.
Day 5 – Highland Safari Day
An absolutely awe inspiring 4 Wheel Drive Highland Safari Day. Guests are transferred up in to the Perthshire hills in Landrovers with an experienced and hugely knowledgeable kilted guide armed with binoculars and telescopes. The spectacular scenery is steeped in history with breathtaking views and no shortage of photo opportunities! This is the home of the wild Red Deer and high overhead guests may be lucky enough to see the Golden Eagle searching for mountain hares and red grouse. Morning coffee is taken in the hills followed by a delicious picnic lunch in a highland bothy. There is also an opportunity to test driving your skills on a 4 x 4 Adventure Trail in the Landrovers. A trip to a local distillery can be included in this day.
Day 6
Transfer by private vehicle to Boath House just outside Nairn. This is a stunning Georgian Mansion set in 20 acres of manicured gardens. Two nights will be spent here.
Day 7 – Free Day
A distillery visit - The Malt Whisky Trail is nearby in Speyside and there are a number of whisky distilleries nearby to choose from. We will arrange all visits and tastings.
Sightseeing trip - Cawdor Castle is nearby along with Johnson’s of Elgin the world famous cashmere manufacturer and Baxter’s of Speyside one of Europe’s leading food producers using the finest Scottish produce. Boat cruises on Loch Ness can also be arranged.
Day 8
Drive through the wild Highlands to Inverlochy Castle Hotel a 5 star deluxe hotel close to Fort William. Located below Britain’s highest mountain Ben Nevis this is one of the finest hotels in Scotland.
While here guests can explore some of the most beautiful glens in Scotland - Glencoe, Glen Affric, Glen Etive and even take a cable car to the heights of Ben Nevis. 2 nights will spent at this hotel.
Day 9
A private helicopter will pick up guests from the hotel and make the short flight over stunning highland scenery to the Isle of Skye. Lunch will be arranged at the world famous and award winning Three Chimneys Restaurant on Skye.
Day 10
Return to Edinburgh via Glencoe and the Trossachs and stay the final night at your city centre hotel.
Day 11
Transfer to the airport by private luxury car.
